Michael o "Fresh", come viene comunemente chiamato, è uno spacciatore di 12 anni che vive in un orfanotrofio. Suo padre è un barbone, mentre la sorella si prostituisce per la droga. Fresh aspira ad una vita migliore e capisce che la prima cosa da fare è cambiare il suo cattivo stile di vita.
