Ataollah Hayati

Regista. Nato nel 1948. A volte noto anche come Atta Hayati. Si laurea in Televisione e Film. Dal 1975 inizia a collaborare con la Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting. Dirige numerosi documentari e cortometraggi tra cui "Travelling Through Talesh" (1975), "Ashoura" (1976) e "Neor Lake" (1977). Lavora pure come direttore della fotografia in numerose pellicole, come "La Gala" (1986), "The Fish" (1988), "Golnar" (1989), "My Daughter Sahar" (1990) e "Dance of Dust" (1992). "Children of Water and Earth" è il suo primo film come regista.
